Dear Friends,

Welcome to Ash Fete 2002

I am looking forward to this, my second, Ash Fete. Last year we were blessed by the weather, but also by a wonderful turn-out and so many attractions. This year I hope, it might be even better with a number of new attractions and, hopefully, the return of the balloon.

I must say thank-you to all who have done so much to prepare for the fete, from the use of the land and the power supply, to those who helped set it up, and all of those running stalls and attractions today. Many organisations have supported us by advertising this year. We do appreciate this from a fund-raising point of view - but it is also a statement of the way the local community works together. Please support them by your custom - and also support us today.

This year we also have a Grand Draw, with some really fabulous prizes, some also supplied by local businesses for which we are also most grateful. Good luck if you take part - but please do all you can to help us both with fun and with funds - and have a look round our lovely church before you leave.
